The appropriations made during the session of congress jujt closed aggregated aggre-gated $753,484,019, as' against $800,-624,496 $800,-624,496 for the last session. The total to-tal for the entire congress thus footed up $1,554,108,514, or something more than a hundred millions in excess of the total appropriations for the Fifty-sixth congress. The total for that congress was $1,440,489,438. These figures were embodied in a statement presented to the senate by Mr. Allison, chairman of the Committee on Anpropriations.
