Show "Jack, the Slugger," Dies Protesting His Innocence to the Last. George L. O. Perry, the negro lad indicted for the murders of Agnes Mc-Phee Mc-Phee at Somerville, Mass., and Clara Morton at Waverley, commonly referred re-ferred to as "Jack, the Slugger" cases, died at the Cambridge, Mass., jail Sunday Sun-day from typhoid fever and nervous exhaustion. He did net make a statement, state-ment, and it is believed, that he protested pro-tested his innocence to the la.it. Sheriff Sher-iff Fairbarn has so far refused to say anything regarding the prisoner's last hours. |
