Show Enacted Into a Law by City Gouncil. The Logan city council met in regular session Wednesday evening, even-ing, President Eobinson occupying occu-pying the chair. . A protest was read against the building of the proposed railway track near the depot. 1 he matter mat-ter was referred to a special com-n.ittee com-n.ittee consisting of Oouccilmen Tnoreson, Nielsen and Sensor,. J R. Edwards addressed tne council on the subject of permitting permit-ting a billiard hall in the upper story of his building. Op motion of Thoreson, the city attorney was instructed to dra w up an ordinance or-dinance permitting billiard hahs as stated but without door connections con-nections with the saloon. An ordinance fixing the bound aries of municipal wards, as heretofore published, was enact-ed enact-ed Councilmen Hansen and Nielsen voting in the negative. ' On motion of Councilman Benson Ben-son 100 feet of hose was ordered 'uoo fr.r the pre depart- The canyon payrolls were liquidated li-quidated and considerable routine rout-ine business transacted, before adjournment.,. ' Durin .the session, Councilman Burris objected to the payment of the canyon payrolls on- trie ground that foremen should not have teams.- on the war when so many men desired em-ployment,and em-ployment,and also on the ground that some of the employees had not put in full time.
