Show A ' PR8SPER0US CUTLC0K- The coming season promises Jibe a most successful one in business circles in this valley. The year 1903. from the present ... outlook, will add materially to the comfort and financial possessions pos-sessions of our inhabitants. The snow is unusually deep in the valley and in the mountains. This insures an enormous -water supply during the months when it is needed most. This one fact augurs well for a heavy crop and a consequent large return. he farmers are preparing to , plant an enlarged acreage of beets, - and with the insured w ate: supply and the added experience ex-perience of the past year, the yield will be much heavier than last year. The amount paid out '' : ' in 1903 for beets was a hundred and fifty thousand dollars. It should be two hundred thousand dollars in 1903. This represents increased comfort and satisfact-- satisfact-- ion when distributed amidst our thrifty farmers. Wheat is bringing a remarkably remarka-bly high 1 price when compared with other years. The indications indicat-ions are that it will go higher rather than lower. This fact of itself means added wealth to the people of Cache valley. The prospect is that an electric light plant of large or small size ' will be built here, distributing a considerable sum and bringing cheaper light to Logan. A1 large number of residences are ' projected, some of them being, of expensive dimensions, and this means employment for our i artisans. Altogether the out- j look is far from disagreeable to ; the people of Logan and Cache Yalley. j |
