Show ADDITIONAL PAVEMENT. The prospects are good for three ! additional blocks of sidewalk pavements. This is an indication of progress on the part of our citizens citi-zens and our city that speaks loud er than words. Pavement is the one improvement that more than anything else changes a village into in-to a city, and it is a joy forever ito pedestrkns. The pleasure a paved walk produces in the mud-l mud-l dy season can hardly be adequate described. The good work shouldbe con tinued throughout the city. If no wider pavement can be afforded, then a four foot walk should be put down. There is scarcely a citizen but could afford a four foot pavement and as two can walk abreast "upon it, it answers all ordinary purposes- Steps should be taken to pave many parts of town. |
