Walker and Fred Smith returned home from Ruby Valley, Nev., last Sunday. They were much impressed with the country. Mr. Smith took up a homestead there and will return later. Mr. and Mrs. S. II. Kirk and children aro spending tho week in Cottonwood Canyon, the guests of Mrs. Kirk's sister. Miss Rene Fowlko of Lindon was operated On Monday at the Provo Hospital for goitre. At last roports she was doing nicely. Sho returned homo Thursday. Mr. S. D. Mooro of Payson, who has been here in tho interest of the Logan Knitting Factory for some time, left Friday for American Amer-ican Fork. Miss Nellie Hilton, who resides with her grandmother, Mrs. M. A. Richards, at Salt Lake, is visiting for a few days with her father, Joseph Hilton. Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Lund and family, Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Swen. son and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Ilalliday and family, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Chipman and childron and Mrs. J. D. Thome spent Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon and evening at a camping out trout supper at Battle Creek Canyon.
