Show City Ooujncjl Meets. Sidewalk Extension Asked for Ryborg's Instructed to Do Boi tor Work Streets to bo Named and Houses Numbered. The City Couneil held its regular reg-ular session Tuesday evening, all tho members boiug present except Councilman Austin, who was in lienor. Stophcn Willos presented a petition pe-tition asking that the sidewalk pavements bo extended from Main street on Third West dawn to S. A Willes' residence, south of the Rio GrGandc railway. Tho potition was signed by Mrs. Oloy Ellingson, S. A. Willos, G. A Goatcs, D, II. Carson, A. R. An-d6rson, An-d6rson, Leon Poet, G. II. Goatcs, Sarah A. Earl, Charles Darling, Annie E. Darling, James Goatos, W. II. Dnnsie, Preston Tidcomb and Edward Southwick. G.A. Goates, chairman of the41 School Board, asked for permission permis-sion to construct a drain across the streets and city property from tltc boiler house to Second South street. The boiler house has five inches of water in it and a ten-inch ten-inch drain will be put in to draw off the water. The petition was granted. Ryborg Bros, asked for $5,000-on $5,000-on their contract, but as tho city engineer reported but $3,000 worth of work completed this is all that was voted. J. E. Cotter presented a claim for $25 damages done by Ryherg Bros, while blasting out stumps for sidewalk construction purposes. purpos-es. Tho claim was referred to th propor committee.
