Show The legislative performance at S.ik Lake has come to an end and not a very glorious end either. After casting 166 ballots for a successor suc-cessor to Frank J. Cannon they did not elect anyone and this state will have to get along with one senator for the next two years. The mebmers have made sorry spectacles of themselves and when they get home and think it over, the worst they wid feel about it. Never before has so much biUer-ness biUer-ness been caused in a Utah legislature legis-lature as every member is either mad at himself or someone else. It will have a most demoralizing effect on the Democratic party and will doubtless mean their defeat de-feat when the next legislature is elected. The members will go to their homes as quietly as possible and will not want to hold many interviews with their constituents as they are not anxious to face the record they have made. |
