Show H The newspaper bill introduced H in the legislature by Senator H Sinoot tins met the fate of its pre- ftT (leccssors and has been killed. H The newspapers had too few H friends in the Senate to sc.urii its H passage but some six of the sena- H tors stayed by it to a finish and H among that number of progressive H citizens were the senators from H Utah county and we thank them H for it. Those who opposed the H measure had no logical reason for H j-o doing. When they again come H up before the people and come H sneaking around to the papers H asking forthclr support the etli- H tors should not forget the time H whan tkey asked for bre.id and H these men gave them a stone. B The members of the Press Asso- B ciation should not forget this ac- B tion of Senators Alder, Hennion, Hi Hideout, llobUon. 'banner and HI Thomas who talked and voted against the bill. |
