Show Funeral of Mrt. Ella3iauln. Tlie funeral of Mrs Kllza Smuln was held at the Meeting House on Monday morning and was well attended. The speakers v ere It. J. Anderson, Win Southwiek, Wm. Hall, M. H. Oushman, and Qeorge Comer. A short sketch of her Ufa was read by J. M. Klrkham. Mrs. Smiiln was thi daughter of Klehard and Mary A. Astlniton and was born at York, Englaud, Dec. iiil 18l'0. After her father's death tbo family fam-ily moved to London whero tho met tho Latter-day Snlnta and embraced their faith in 18C8. Early In 1859 she married James Smuln nnd left Kngland in March arriving In Salt Lnko City in September. She remained here for some time and then moved to I.ebl where sho remained until her death. She win tho mother of three children two sons nnd adaughtcr tho latter tiled In early childhood. Sho was an earnest worker in tho camo of truth and will long bo lemcmbcred for her work a-moug a-moug the young in tho Primary and other associations. |
