The Globo this afternoon prints a letter received in this city from First Lieutenant Henry Murray, of tho First South Dakota Da-kota volunteers of General Otis' scorn-mand scorn-mand lu tho Philippines, which says that as far back as tho middle of , Do ccmber Agulnaldo and his followers were being encouraged and aided by some outside source, and that tho opening of hostilities was expected by the United States troops. The letter which bears the datoof December tho 10th, says In parti "A couple of nights ago wo expected tho Insurgents to attack us, but it fell through like most of their .threats. Somo one Is working them up. Ono cannot toll the end. We aro ready. The American troops -are In no temper to stand any fooling.
