Mote are expected after the holidays to make the number one thousand. The Academy lias tho largest number of students of any high school in our stnto nnd is not excelled In work or methods. Beginning with tlie Klndergardcn ore goes through tho grades, the high school and the college, a course ol twenty-ouo years. There is n 10m-mcrclal 10m-mcrclal nnd musical department. Laboratories Lab-oratories were recently founded by families fam-ilies of the state. The amusements are tnrled. A dance is given every fifth week. The Literary Soeiety meets every Saturday evening. The Pcdagotium meet semimonthly semi-monthly where leading 'educational subjects and toptecs are treated by the teacheis. Skating is receiving its share of attention, at-tention, t Tho first semester closed Thurnlny, Dec. 23. Most of the students have dono good work and will roturn to continue con-tinue work with renewed energy. Tuesday, January 3, 1891 the Academy will welcome all who will attend this school.
