Show Synopsis of Proceedings at the Sunday Meeting. Bishop Cutler presided. The choir sang a hymn nnd Martin Ohristcnsen of Mouuso, Col., delivered it prayer. The Sacrament was administered by L Garff and D. Losec. Eight children were blessed four boys and four girls. Bishop Cutler spoke of tho doath and funeral of President W. Woodruff. He J felt very happy that the Lord had permitted our President to pass away without much suffering. Wednesday afternoon at about 4 o'clock, a fire occurred at Lehi Junction which resulted in tho complete destruc tion of tho residence of Joseph Slater and the total lo3s of all household effects. The fire started in a lumber Bhanty adjoining the houss and made such headway that it was impossible to save any of the furnituro although strenuous efforts wore made by those who an ived early on ho scene. Mr. Slater and his wife are advanced in years and fur this reason tho loss is probably more keenly felt. A petition is being circulated for tho relief of the aged couple and a large quantity of brick and quitu a sum of money havo already bcon donated . John Whipple and Carpenter Jeneen engaged in an altercation Wednesday forenoon which ended in a pugilislic display, Jensen getting much tho worst of it. He thought revenge would bo sweet and so lodged a complaint for assault and battery against Whipple. The case was heaid beforo Justice Woodhouse Friday evening. Tho evidence evi-dence was to the effect that .Tenbcn had been tho aggressor in tho puglistic part of the program and Whipple had been acting principally in self-defense. Mrs. Maud McNiel of Colorado, who 'has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thomas of this city, for the past thrt-o month., wont to Salt Lake City Saturday where she underwent an operation at St. Mark's hospital. Mrs. McNeil has been Buffering Buffer-ing for some timo from a complication of diseases and before coming to Lehj consulted eminent physicians in Denver in regard to her ease and they decided that an operation was necessary. Sho preferred however to wait until she arrived lieie before submitting to it. Maieluil Thomas accompanied her to Salt Iake. Dr. Baseom was the surgeon who performed the opeiation which was entiroly successful and the lady at last accounts was reating as comfoi'tabiy uh possiblo under tho circumstances.
