The I . fruit department came in for a good K , . share of praiso and the bottled ftuit waa I ' said to excoll that ahowii at tho great I ' World's Fair. The doll booth attracted I" tho little onea and the" ladiea found W much to admire in tho ladie&' work de- partment. The manufactures were not ho extensive but were well worth ' . examining. The onyx display was very fine. Thero were speclmenu from Prof 1 , Cedorstrom's quarry at Felican Point, fine specimens from Davy's quarry in , American Fork canyon, and some splendid work in that lino exhibited by I, Mr, Bradder late of Ogden. The curiosity exhibit was splendid and contained con-tained enough curious articles to always attract a crowd. Somo splendid art work has bei-n turned out by Lehi artistaand were shown hero. Tho enlarging en-larging work by Mr. Rosa and paintings . "by Mies VilBon received much favorable comment. The agricultural exhibit waa fine. Tho display of sugar toots boing an important feature. There waa somo excellent cabbage grown b Eli . . Kendall and some wlfcat which has i been tested by tho government and said 1 -to bo equal to any ever tested. The queen waa ono of r . tho most important features, and she 1 performed her part in an elegant and s graceful manner. On Thursday evening s sho presented tho prizes. They were giveu as follows: Official ribbons were given to Henry Simmons for best dis- t play of small grain, OharleB Gray for best display of vegetables, George Gloycr ' for fruit, Mrs. A. Rosa for cocoons, Miss Sadio Peck for bottled fruit, Mrs. G. 1 McKilligan for broad, Mrs. O.B. Lott , lor homo mado lace, Miss Angio Webb " lor fancy work, Miss A. E. Wilson for art, Mrs. E. Woodhouso for cut flowers, Charles Ohran for potted flowers, John Cutler for bantams. Dollar prizes were given to P. H. Allred for tho tallest stalk v of corn, N. C.
