Show H , A Pleasant Surprise. H U H A very pleasing surprise was given at H the home of our esteemed friend, Mrs. H , Thos.lRusson, in honor of her 41st birtli- B day which took placo on Marcii 11. B A ))oj (1:110 p. m, n number of her rok- B tiveff'sind friends stepped into her home H and gave the good lady a good surprise H After, the lianil shaking and fond cm- H bracfejthc tablts were spread with the H ' good things of the earth and about 47 H '', sat down and partook of the sumptions H repast. When alt had replenished the H inner man short speeches, songs, B recitations, games, etc. were indulgid in H until about ir:!0 when lefrcshments H were served, nfter which the amuse. H meuts were lcaunied. A number of H those present were Mr. Lott Rusaon, Sr. H and wife, to whom tho honor is duo of H eU'ecting the surprise, James Allied and B wife. Elisha Peck and wife, Loit llusson K Jr. and wife, Israel Anderson and wife, H Enoch.Russon and wife, George Russon H and wife, Elisha Peck, Jr. nnd wife, H ' Mrs. Mary Kirkham, Misses Sadie and H Alica Peck and Mineiva Allred and a B largo number of others. Those present H enjoyed themselves very much on this H happy occasion and feel that it was one H of the happiest times of their lives'aud H will long be remembered. The clock H told the "wee bum' hours" of morning H when all wished Mrs. Russon many H other occasions of this kind and that her H life be prolonged as long as she desires H it.
