Its color Is a bright yellow nnd is nearly as soft ns lend. It is tho most malleable of nil metals, cno grain can bo beaten so thin ns to cover nearly' six thousand inchcr. It Is nlso very ductile tho same quantity can bo drawn out into five hundred feet of wire. Gold coinage is made such ns 10 dollars nnd 5 dollars, etc., but for purpose It Is alloyed with copper. Gold is nlso used for gilding jewelery. Look into a Jeweler' store and see the articles gilded with this metal such as watches, chains, brooches, rings, vases, vessels, and ornaments of every description. IV Qrndo A.
