Show Miss Lynne Stoddard IsWedio Wm. Sanford Topham In rites solemnized on Thursday Thurs-day morning, Dec. 15, Miss Lynne Stoddard and William Sanford Topham were united in marriage. mar-riage. Elder LeGrand Richards of the council of Twelve Apostles officiated in the ceremony which took place in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The bride Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L Stoddard of Grand Rapids, Mich, and Mr. and Mrs: S. Mario Topham of Parowan are the parents of the bridegroom. Following the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Topham were hosts at an informal wedding breakfast held In the Gold Room at the Ho-tel Ho-tel Utah. The room was beautifully beauti-fully decorated in gold balls and leaves. The centerpiece for the breakfast table was very attractive attract-ive with white chrysanthemums, pink carnations and gold balls. The theme of Christmas was carried car-ried out in the decorations. Those present at the breakfast besides the Immediate members of the families of the bride and bridegroom were Bishop and Mrs. Neal Maxwell of University Ward and Stake President and Mrs. Leeland Davey. The ojidal couple honeymooned honeymoon-ed at Alta, and enroute to Grand Rapids, where on Wednesday evening they were feted at a reception re-ception at the home of the parents par-ents of the bride. For the receptioi. the brlue has chosen a gown of tulle, styled with a Peter Pan collar and short puffed sleeves. The bouffant skirt falls floor length. On Monday, Jan. 2 the parents of the bridegroom will hold an open house at their home In Parowan Par-owan in honor of the newly-married newly-married couple. After the holidays the newly, weds will return to make their home in Salt Lake City, where they will continue their studies at the University of Utah. The bride Is maloring In foreign for-eign language at the U of U. The bridegroom is a graduate of the university, and lis et present studying stu-dying in the graduate school there. He will teach the next two quarters at the hilltop school on a teaching fellowship as well as do research in the engineering field. |
