RODNEY JONES Connie Lou Benson - Rodney Jones Exchange Marriage Vows in Double-Ring Ceremony A double-ring ceremony performed per-formed by Bishhop James Sand-berg Sand-berg united Miss Connie Lou Benson and Rodney G. Jones in marriage. Services took place In the Third Ward LDS Chapel May 23rd. j The new bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Benson of Cedar City. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Jones. For the wedding and reception which followed, Connie wore a chantilly lace gown fashioned to full floor-length with pointed wrist length sleeves. The traditional tradi-tional dress of white featured a back panel of lace and a scalloped scal-loped neckline. A crown adorned with seed pearls held a shoulder-length shoulder-length veil of bridal illusion. The bridal bouquet was centered with white orchids. In keeping with a color theme of apricot and white, the attendants at-tendants wore matching dresses and held arrangements of gladi-olas. gladi-olas. Standing in line with the couple were Marlene Beal, serving serv-ing as matron of honor for her sister; Sherry Benson as maid of honor, along with Virginia Bulloch, Bul-loch, Barbara Twitchell and Min-ty Min-ty Bulloch as bride's maids. Best man was Robert Delaney with Larry Robb, Gail Roberts and L. J. Benson assisting as ushers. The bride's mother and the mother of the bridegroom also assisted the honored pair in greeting guests. They each wore dresses of lace accented with corsages styled from white gardenias gar-denias and pink carnations. Guest book attendant was Ray-ona Ray-ona Ence. Itha Robinson, Shirley Ence and Janice Robb served as gift room attendants. Kitchen hostesses were Utah Barrick, Betty Bet-ty Lou Schoppman, Sharon Bulloch Bul-loch and Jean Robb. Serving were Linda Dawn Ence, Chris Gulli-ford, Gulli-ford, Marsha Hulet and Linda Avedlsian. During the nutial party, Lil- lis Spencer played organ background back-ground music. After a honeymoon in southern south-ern California, the couple will reside re-side in Las Vegas where Rodney is employed with the Nevada State Road Commision. Both the bride and bridegroom have graduated from Cedar City ILigh School and have attended the College of Southern Utah. |
