Nelsons on Golden Wedding Anniversary I Mr. and Mrs. George T. Nelson of Cedar City will observe their Golden Wedding anniversary on Sunday at an open house at their home at 710 West 200 North. Member of the family have Invited In-vited friends and relatives to visit the life-long Cedar City res- idents during the day. The fam-ily fam-ily also requested that no gifts be given. The Nelsons, both born and raised in Cedar City, were married mar-ried here on June 2, 1913. The marriage was later solemnized at the St. George L. D. S. Temple. Mr. Nelson was born Feb. 4, 1890 a son of Peter Albert and Agnes M. Urie Nelson. Mrs. Nelson, Nel-son, the former Olivia Stevenson, was born to Joseph G. and Elizabeth Eliza-beth Paramore Stevenson. The Nelson are the parents of six children, five of whom are living. All five children will be in attendance at the open house. Four of the children reside In Cedar City. They are Granville G. Nelson, Mrs. Bill (Runa) Wood. Yorke S. Nelson and Peter A. Nelson. Mrs. J. Rue (Olive) Tyler Ty-ler is a resident of Monrovia, Calif. They also have 11 grandchildren grandchil-dren and s'x great-grandchildren. Mr. ar.U Mrs. Nelson for many yca'-i operated a recreation center cen-ter ut Cedar City. The establishment establish-ment started during World War II and continued to operate under their managements - for several years. , |
