Show ........ Karen Beatty Becomes Bride in Quiet Home Rites A quiet, double-ring wedding ceremony performed in the home with beautiful floral decorations united Karen Beatty and Sheldon B. Alger in wedlock. The ceremony cere-mony was performed by Bishop LaNoir Jones Thursday evening, May 10. The popular young couple cou-ple are both from Cedar City. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudger F. Beatty, and the bridegroom a son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Alger. Thursday evening the parents of the bride honored the newly-weds newly-weds at a wedding reception at the the Fourth Ward Relief Society So-ciety rooms. Friends called to congratulate the couple between the hours of eight and 10. Assisting the bride throughout the day, at the wedding ceremony cere-mony and at the reception, was Janice B. Lowder, matron of honor. hon-or. Maid of honor was Veola Bryant and the lovely bridesmaids brides-maids were Marion Sprague, Lois Meeham, Jayce Flanigan and Diane Beatty. Gerald Alger, brother of the bridegroom, stood as best man. Assisting at the pouring table were Ann and Dora Gower with Mary Bryant, Jean Rhodes, Jean-ice Jean-ice Rhodes, Marlam Munford and Yvonne Sorer.son serving the guests. Veta Rhodes was at the wedding book. Little Jerry Rhodes received the gifts in the gift room and Eulalla Adams, Leola Bryant and Karen Tait were in charge of displaying the gifts. Olga Manning, Ramona Munford, Mun-ford, Cora Condie and Sylvia Tait assisted in the kitchn. Brothers of the bride, LaMond and Robert Beatty, served as ushers ush-ers at the wedding and reception. |
