Show Mary Lou Pendleton, Clarence Jolley Recite Wedding Vows Marriage vows were exchanged in a ceremony in the St. George L D S temple Saturday by Miss Mary Lou Pendleton and Clarence Clar-ence L. Jolley, popular students at the Branch Agricultural college. col-lege. They were honored at a reception recep-tion in the Cedar First ward Saturday Sat-urday evening. The bride, a daughter of Le-Grande Le-Grande Pendleton of Cedar City, has been an outstanding student at the Branch Agricultural college, col-lege, where she was named as valedictorian of the upper divi sion this year. She was a member mem-ber of the Phi Alpha Beta sorority sorori-ty at B A C and was active in dramatic circles, having carried the lead in one of the school plays. She graduated from the Cedar City high school before enterln gthe B A C. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Layton E. Jolley of Tropic. He graduated from the Tropic high school, where he was valedictorian, vale-dictorian, from Dixie college at St. George, and has attended the Eranch Agricultural ocllege and the Brigham Young University. He has filled a mission for the L D S church, laboring in the Eastern States mission and in France. The young couple plan to make their home in Cedar City until September, when they will move to Phoenix, Ariz., where Mr. Jolley Jol-ley will attend the American Institute of Foreign Trade, continuing con-tinuing his studies in foreign service. At the reeention Mrs. Shprman I Beacham of Newcastle, sister of the bride, acted as matron of honor, and Blaine Betenson, brother-in-law of the groom, stood as best man. Bridesmaids were Afton and Alice Jolley of Tropic and Ada Ann Pendleton, St. George. Pouring were Mrs'i Blaine Betenson Bet-enson and Mrs. Herman Anderson. Ander-son. Mrs. Christina Smith, aunt of the bride was in charge of the gift room, and was assisted by Mrs. LeGrand J. Heaton, Mrs. Kay Robinson and Mrs. Floyd Matheson. Mrs. Gus Pendleton, aunt of the bride, was in charge of refreshments. |
