Show Barbara Jean Marsden Weds in Recent Temple Ceremonies Miss Barbara Jean Marsden and Kendall Jones, popular Cedar City couple exchanged marriage vows hi the St. George Temple, Thursday, Dec. 17, with President HjroKl Snow officiating. Tiie bride Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Marsden, and the groom a son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon A. Jones. The newly married couple were hcrored at a reception at the home of the bride's parents Friday Fri-day cvtnlng. The bride wore a dress of schiffli embroidered tulle over satin, and carried a crescent bouquet of white orchids or-chids and stephonates. Her veil was b.idal illusion with Juliet cap of seed pearls and sequins. The bridesmaids wore dresses of red Satin, and carried bouquets of white and silver. The bride's mother was gowned in a dress of slate biUe satin, and the mother of the groom was in rose crepe. Both wore corsages of white carnations. car-nations. Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Mrs. Marjorie Hey-borre. Hey-borre. Bridesmaids were the Misses Geraldine Rollo, Renee Halversen, Barbara Lunt, and La-Venda La-Venda Jones. Janice Jones was flower girl. Garth Fisher was best man. Assitting in the gift room were Miss Pattv Petty,. Miss Laurel Lunt, and Miss Connie Gower. Mrs. Doris Corry was in charge of the register. Serving were Miss Karen Froyd, Miss Yvonne Fife, and Miss LaRae Stapley. Dining room hostess was Mrs. Roy L. Halversen. Following the reception Mr. and Mis. Jones left for a short honeyn.oon trip to Las Vegas. On Jan. 1 they will leave for Chicago where Mr. Jones will continue his studies at Northwestern North-western University. He is a graduate grad-uate ol the Cedar City high school and of the Branch Agricultural Agri-cultural College, and is studying dcntlt-try at Northwestern. The bride is a graduate of Cedar Ce-dar City high school and is a student of College of Southern Utah where she is affiliated with the Phi Alpha Beta sorority. |
