Show John C. Bartons Will Observe Golden Wedding Date Mr. and Mrs. John C. Barton, prominent residents of Paragonah, Paragon-ah, reached their Golden Wedding Wed-ding Anniverstary on Wednesday, Jan. 26, it is announced by members mem-bers of their family in that community. com-munity. They will be honored at an informal open house on Sunday, Jan. 30, between the hours of 3 and 3 p. m. at their home, and an invitation is extended ex-tended to all friends and relatives rela-tives to call on them sometime between those hours. The affair is being arranged by their sons and daughters. Mr. Barton was born in Paragonah Para-gonah June 1, 1879, a son of Stephen Ste-phen S. and Eliza Hoy Smith Barton and has been a lifetime resident of that town. Mrs. Barton Bar-ton (Martha Eliza) was born Oct. 2G, 1S8G at Panguitch, a daughter daugh-ter of Joseph Anderson and Elizabeth Eli-zabeth Ann Norton Reynolds, and spent her childhood there and at Panguitch Lake. Both have been active in the LDS church, and he has been a prominent farmer and livestock raiser of Paragonah. Members of their family are as follows: Mrs. Cyril (Delia) Partner, Cecil and Scott Barton, .all of Paragonah; Mrs. Boyd (Eunice) (Eu-nice) Orton and Mrs. LaVar (He-ta) (He-ta) Taylor, Parowan, and Mrs. I George (Gwen) Melonee, Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Nev. A son, Clayton Barton, 'was killed in a deer hunting accident ac-cident last October. They have 25 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. |
