Show tn A Students Student's Soliloquy To drill or not to drill that drill that is the question Whether better in a student to endure The discomfort of three hours' hours drill a week Or take up arms against the Faculty And by opposing offend them To report to to be suspended No more and by such course to say we end The bother and thousand inconveniences Caused by drill drill a consummation Not greatly to be wished To march march to to drill drill drill- To drill perchance to excel ay theres there's the rub For in that drill what military excellence may come When we have left these halls of learning Must give us pause theres there's the respect That makes calamity of so much drill For who would bear the whips and scorns of those Who need not drill proud kids kid's contumely The pangs of lowered dignity the Faculty's delay The insolence of officers and the spurns That patient student of the unworthy takes When he himself might his excuses make With a physicians physician's certificate Who would that fardel bear To grunt and sweat under a heavy gun gun gun- Brit nt that the dread of something sure to come From the Faculty from whose presence i No guilty student returns scot free puzzles the will And makes us rather bear those ills we have Than fly to others we know of R.
