Show Parents Announce Daughter's Marriage Mr. and Mrs. Kumen L. Jones announce the marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth, to Lt. Ralph H. Courtney, of the United States Coast Guard. The couple were married in the Presido Chapel In San Francisco on April 6th, with Father Hatton, Army Chaplin, officiating of-ficiating at the military ceremony. Lt. James T. Hennessy acted as Best Man, with Lieutenants O'Brien, Hanna, Cannady, Ammott, Goodrich Good-rich and Delaney. close friends and fellow officers of the groom, acting act-ing as ushers and forming the sabre arch under which the couple passed pass-ed upon leaving the chapel. Mrs Florence Jones Petersen, sister of the bride, was attendant to the bride. The ceremony was also attended at-tended by Irving H. Petersen and Mrs. Kumen L. Jones. Following the ceremony the couple were honored at a reception at the home of Mrs. Helen Smith Grant, formerly of Cedar City, after which they left for a short honeymoon trip to Del Monte. Miss Jones was a graduate of the Cedar high school and a former student of the B.A.C., graduating from the Mount Zlon Hospital at San Francisco in 1940, where she won high honors in nursing and where she has served in the surgical surgi-cal department since graduation. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Courtney of Sclma, Alabama. Al-abama. He Is a graduate of the University of Alabama and has served ser-ved in the Coast Guard, stationed I hi California, for the past two years. |
