Show Parents Announce Daughter's Marriage Mr. and Mrs. Walter Merryweath-er Merryweath-er anonunce the marriage of their daughter Janice, to George K. Prothero, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Prothero of Paragonah. The ceremony was performed by Stake President David L. Sargent at the LPS Institute on Friday November 29th. The bride chose Mrs. Alta Adams, sister of the groom, as her Maid of Honor, and six close girl friends, Barbara Urie, Lois Urie, Joan Jones, Marjorie Robinson, Norma Jeffery and Gayle Haight, as brides maids, with little Annette Seaman as flower girl. Rulon Woodbury Wood-bury acted as Best Man. Mrs. Bcrnella Jones played the organ for the wedding march, after af-ter Conway Parry, uncle of the bride had favored the group with two vocal solos, "Oh Promise Me" and "Because". Walter Merry -weather and Homer Adams acted as ushers. Following the wedding ceremony the young couple were honored at a reception at the Merryeather home. Mrs. Marion Snow and Mrs. Wm. Merryweathcr assisted In receiving re-ceiving guests, while Mrs. Preston Wood, Mrs. Conway Parry, and the Misses Roene Bulloch, Mona Taylor, Maxlne Roberts, Orel Merryweath-er Merryweath-er and Janice Jeppson assisted with the serving. The Misses Lael Merryweather, Norma Jean Wood, Evelyn Kunz, and Mrs. Mary Jane Seaman, were in charge of the gift rooms. Following the reception the young couple left for a honeymoon trip to California and Mexico. Upon their return Mrs. Prothero will continue her studies at the Branch Agricultural Agricul-tural College. |
