The air has been filled with all kinds oratories, threats, and conjectures,, all 'because two licensed dc teqtives innocent looking fello vsf,came in here about threajiu&agoand began tracking down a' number of parties par-ties who were supposed to be selling sel-ling intoxicating liquors. Nine offenders were apprehended and brought to trial in City Justice Tanner's Court. 'The cases have not all been disposed 'of as we are ready to go to press this morning. Up to a late hour last night, six of the cases had been heard and sentences passed. The fines, ranging from $85 to' $225 in these cases were imposed as follows: Austin Skinner, $85 C. E, Hutchings $85, Albert Dean $85, Ruben Hulchings $100, James Robinson $85, Oscar Lar-sen Lar-sen $225. Considerable! excitement has been in evidence, si nee the round up Tuesday.
