Show INFLUENZA IS I STILL WITH US Special Health Officer Nutlall Cells1 Attention to Laxness in Olmerva- ! lion of Quarantine Regulations. The "Flu" is still with us For the last few days it has decreased in its form of an epidemic, but as long as inew cases appear in the community there is present the possibility of an epidemic. To date the influenza has been six times as deadly for the people of Cedar City as has been the war. Parents Par-ents who wept when their sons left 'for battle should remember that their younir people at. home who an' disregarding dis-regarding quarantine rules are taking tak-ing a far more deadly chance and it is true that parents themselves, as well as the young people, are diste garding the regulations. If you have had the disease you may be a "carrier" "car-rier" end if you do not wear a mask properly you may be the direct cause of another's death. If you haven't had the disease, do not visit; do not congregate with others and form I Crowd do tiot go into town more than is necessary, and when you do, wear your mask, as it should be worn, all the time. It is cowardly os well as dangerous to put your mask up only When y'ou see an officer. If you believe that the community would lie better off without the influenza, in-fluenza, urge the officers to stop just warning people who are menaces because be-cause they are not masked, and to arrest and punish such law breakers. Because of a possible outbreak of a new epidemic at this time, the communities com-munities who have been assisting in organizing the nursing situation, wish that all who an assist if needed would report to Mr. Nuttull, Mrs. Fuller Ful-ler or Mrs. Watson immediately. "Those who have helped before, as well as those who have recovered from the disease and who can now safely help others are asked to report. Let us not see our brothers and sis- jtcrs suffer unattended. There may be work for both old and young. It is impossible to measure the kindness that has already been shown by about fifty of the women and girls of the town, many of whom are still serving. L. ,i. MUtTAl L, Member of Health Board. |
