Carl Kurkholder and family have just been released from quarantine, after a "family" helping; of the "flu." Carl thinks it is no joke. W.S.8. Arthur Stapley, Evan Williams and Junior McConnell, three of our soldiers sold-iers from the training ramps, have been home this week on furlough. W.8J3. W. S. 8. Miss Mildred Adams, the seventeen-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Iorenzo Adams, ia reported by Dr. Mncfarlane to be the only patient in Cedar City at present who is giving him serious concern. The doctor is very much worried about Mildred's case, which fails to respond to treatment. treat-ment. Her temperature remains very high in spite of nil that can be done for her. W.S.S. Mr. Arch (Jale of this city received word early this week that his brother Clyde and wife at Newcastle had lost their baby with influenza and that it was feared that the father and mother were coming down with pneumonia. Accompanied by Dr. Macfarlane Mr. Cale hastened to the assistance of his brother, but was glad to find them in better condition than he had feared. There was no evidence of pneumonia and the patients are progressing favorably fa-vorably from last accounts. w . n.a. The boys ore beginning to come home. George Jones of Enoch and Pratt Tollestrup of this city, who have been attending officers' training school, hnve been permanently discharged dis-charged and are now nt home with their parents. Lehi M. Jones, who completed his school work and received a lieutenancy commission, is home on furlough. According to the papers we muy expect more of the boys back soon. We trust that the influenza situation may soon be cleared up so that the boys mny lie given a suitable suit-able welcome buck. W.S.8. The Record has a full force back on the job, and were it not for the pub-1 lication of the delinquent tax list, which must npenr in our issue dated Decemlier (, we would undoubtedly be out on time again. As It is, the tnx list may delay us somewhat, ns it is impossible to obtain the ocpy from the County Treasure'- early enougn to permit getting to press on time. For the two days previous only one new ense was reported and the health officers had been encouraged to believe be-lieve that they had the situation well in hand and that another few days would see the entire eradication of the disease here.
