Show COMMISSIONERS CLEAR TABLE; Met at County Court House Last Monday Mon-day and Balanced the Calendar in Shape for New Board. The county commissioners of Iron county met in special session at the county court house last Monday and cleared the table of business preparatory pre-paratory to tho change of officers which will occur next Monday. With the exception of one matter, tho claim of tho Salt Lake Herald Republican Re-publican of $200 for a page in its special Publicity and Progress edition, advertising Iron county, which is held by tho Attorney General to be illegal, the commissioners state that tho plate is clear for tho incoming bonrd. Ihe following business was transacted trans-acted during tho session: Mrs. Lorcna Langford of' Summit was granted a dependent mother's pension of yine dollars per month. The official bonds of Reese J. Williams, Wil-liams, assessor, W. W. Mitchell, clerk, Gwen M. Benson, recorder, H. W. Lunt, commissioner, John H. Fife, attorney, at-torney, newly elected county officials were approved, and also the bonds of the following precinct officers: F. L. Green, justice of tho peace for Modcna precinct, Wilford Lawrence, justice of tho peace for Summit procinct, Chas. E. Jones for Enoch precinct, Johif S. P. Barton, constable for Faragonah precinct. Arthur, commissioner exp. 2.00 It was moved and duly carried that an order bo entered in accordance with tho County Superintendent's recommendation, recom-mendation, constituting Iron County one high school district. Tho County Clerk was instructed to procure badges for tho constables of the county, nt the expense of the county. The balance of Iron County Record's claim for publishing official list of nominations for the county election, amounting to $0.00, was allowed, on a reconsideration by the board, and tho meeting adjourned. |
