Show Parowan News Items. Parowan, October 18, 1911. It seems too bad to be confined within the walls of the school building, the office, and even the walls of home these beautiful days of autumn. J. H. Arthur and J. R. Rick-ards Rick-ards of Cedar were visitors at the County seat the latter part of the past week. A company consisting of John H. Gurr, R. R. Reid, of Parowan, John S. Hanks of Beaver and E. M. Owens of Paragonah have made arrangements for an Armstrong Arm-strong well boring machine and will begin work at once, driving the first well on the Bozarth entry en-try in the northern part of the valley, now ownbel by John H. At the Republican Primary held last Saturday evening the following ticket was nominated: John L. Lowder Mayor. H. M. Hendrickson long term councilman. Wm. A. Evans, E. A. Burton and Geo. Stevens short term councilmen. Miss Avis A. ClarkTreasurer. ClarkTreasur-er. Joseph Bentley, Jr., Record-er Record-er Mrs. Albert .Warren of Salt Lake City Is'the guest of Mrs. Jenkin Evans of this place. Mrs. John T. Mitchell left for Salt Lake City recently where she will visit with her daughter Mrs. G. W. Norton. Messrs. Mackelprang and Ash-down Ash-down of Cedar are at the farm of F. L. Culver. They will be about ten days threshing there and then return to Cedar. The other machines will also hz through by then, the three having hav-ing turned out the most grain ever harvested in this valley. |
