Show JOS. MILLETT DEAD. Succumbed To Leakage of (he Heart and Other Ailments. i Was a Pioneer of the Enrly Days of This Valley And The Dixie Country Was Well Re- spected. Joseph Millett, who was well known in this country and in Washington County died early Tuesday morning from leakage of the heart and other ailments incidental to old age. He, it will be remembered, received injury to his left hip last winter by falling on the door step of Bp. Wm. Ford's residence. For several months it was thought he would not be able to again use his left limb, but he so far recovered that by the aid of crutches he was able to make his way about . Some three weeks ago he be gan to feel ill, complaining I constantly of pains in his I stomach and in the region of It his heart Medicines seemed to 1 ease him but little and he grad- 1 ually grew worse. Physicians I were called in just previous to m his death and his ailment was m diagnosed as leakage of the M heart H Joseph Millett was one of the very first to locate in this country ' coming here with the first com- pany. J - He was very faithful, honest and upright and was always willing to assist anyone in distress, dis-tress, and it can be said of him that he never turned a person from his door hungry. His attitude toward those who were poor and in hard circumstances ! earned for him the love of a i great many people, especially in Washington County. He leaves several children and grand children to mourn his loss, his wife having preceded him to the great beyond several years !ago. His remains were taken to Springdale, Washington County, 4 where they will be interred be side those of his wife. |
