There Is no doubt that some people among us strongly favor the licensing of this evjl, and while it is not at all likely that any of the city council would listen with tho least degree of favor to any application for the restoration of tho nuisance, yet tt is quite possible that thero are ofllce holders in Cedar who, If they had their way, would tavor the granting ot this ltcense. We aro informed thattlie mayor was approached by these Heaver parties par-ties who offered his honor six hundred dollars for a license for ono year, but that Mr. Mid die ton told them not for two thousand dollars would, ho grant any suuh application.
