At the same meeting the council accepted ac-cepted the offer of Mr. Randall Jones " to install a hydrant, free of cost to tho city as fur as his work is concerned, at some place in the main street where water can be got by tho general public : free of cost, and the tabernacle corner - I was designated by the council as the - ' place where the hydrant is to be set. We have not seen the written opinion of the attorney, but are Informed that it is in effect as as we have stated it. Mr. Randall Jones was mado the agent of the city In the tupping of the mains, and all persons .wanting to take water therefrom will be required to nakc application to Mr. Jones as tho representative of the city In the matter; this will avoid tho necessity of people who want to have service pipes put into their premises having to petition the council for permission. The settlement with the Intermoun-Pipc Intermoun-Pipc company was deferred till the return of Messrs Jones and Dalley from 'Salt Lake City, as it is expected that they will talk the matter over with tho, company while they are, there.
