A number of tho prominent cattlemen cattle-men of Washington and Kane counties mot recently in ICanab, and organized "Tho Washington Kane County cat-tlomon'a cat-tlomon'a Union," vjlth Aloxander Find-lay Find-lay as President, B. F. Saunders Vice Aresldent, and II. II. Harder for Secretary Secre-tary and Treasurer. In addition to theso officers an cxccutlvo committee consltlngof Eph Mansfield, Brlgham Rlgga, Jamas Andrus and C. V. Foster was selected. Tho membership feo is ono dollar, and 42 members aro alroady enrolled. Tho object of tho association associa-tion is to promotq union among tho cattlemen, and protect their stock from thieves, and tho ranges from sheep, wild horses, any other factors inimical to their intorests. A purse of 8300. was offered for the conviction pf any person who steals cattlo belong to any member of tho Union. |
