The funeral of General Gen-eral Macdonald will be private, because it is the custom in the British army not to accord military honors to an officer who has committed suicide. The war office of-fice has issued an explanation that it is in acpordance with the wishes of the dead officer's relatives that the funeral will take place in Paris. It is understood under-stood that throughout the affair the war i office acted with the utmost delicacy j toward Sir Hector Macdonald.
