Show OBITUARY. Cook. P. T. Cook, one of the oldest residents of Eureka, died at St. Mark's hospital Saturday morning as a result of burns received at his home last Monday. Mr. Cook was carrying a lamp from one room to another when he stumbled and fell, the burning oil pouring over him. By wrapping a quilt about him he succeeded suc-ceeded in extinguishing the flames, but not until he had been severely burned. He was just convalescing from injuries received in an accident at the Centen-nial-Eureka mine, and this, with his advanced age, helped to render his recovery re-covery impossible. Mr. Cook4 was 70 years of age, and leaves a son, Thomas, who resides at Mercur. |
