Show Wedding Bells. St. Leo's church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday, Aug. 28, when Miss Loretto Butler became the bride of William Halpln. The ceremony ceremo-ny was performed by Rev. Father O'Ryan in the presence of a large number num-ber of relatives anl friends. The church was prettily decorated, and the bride In a becoming: white gown made a dainty picture as Ehe approached the altar to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march played by Miss Bessie McGov-ern. McGov-ern. Miss Mabel Sullivan was bridesmaid brides-maid and Thomas J. Halpin. brother of the groom, attended him as best man. After nuptial mass an elaborate breakfast break-fast was served at the home of the bride's mother. Mr. Halpin Is a prominent prom-inent member of the Catholic Toung Men's club. The young people have gone to housekeeping at 1424 Llpan street. |
