Show j OBITUARY. D. J. Sullivan. The funeral of D. J. Sullivan, late of Eureka, was held from St. Mary's cathedral ca-thedral Monday, and was largely attend at-tend by friends from Eureka and Ogden, Og-den, and by many in Salt Lake. The services at the church were conducted by the' Rev. Father Ryan and were very impressive. He spoke ,in eulogistic terms of the deceased, and the splendid courage with which he met death. "He was a man," said Father Ryan, "full of physical power and strength, and as I saw him last Wednesday, I did not think death would strike. The next day I could see death manifest. He realized the end was near and said, 'Goodby, Father; I shall never see you again!' " The reverend father's words to the aged and bereaved mother were beautir ful and full of consolation. The church was filled with friends of the deceased, many coming from Eureka to attend the funeral. The quartette from the Cathedral choir rendered the music. The deceased was a man of fine character, char-acter, a thorough Catholic, one who was an ideal type of Christian manhood. May his soul rest in peace! |
