Show I SACRED HEART COLLEGE. Great interest is being taken, both by tiie faculty and the boys of the Col-h'ge Col-h'ge of the Sacred Heart, in the play which is'Hej be given tit the Broadway theatre, under, the. Htle of "The White Plume of Navarre," on the evening of Feb. 26. This play will be presented pre-sented under the direction of the Rev. Eugene Mantell, . S. J., atid. as has been announced, will be a benefit performance per-formance for the Sacred Heart College Col-lege Athletic association. Daily rehearsals re-hearsals are notv in progress. The Rev. Fr. Swift, S. J., of the college, col-lege, assisted in the services at the Sacred Heart e-hurch on Sunday last, a vacancy being caused. by the illness of the Rev. Fr. Weir, S. J., of that parish. James Noone of George town, w hile on his way to the . meeting of the I Catholic Knights, of America, which.. was nelil in Colorado Springs last j week, stopped over and visited his son. who is a student at the college. Mr. Noone is state president of the Catholic Knights. The candidates for the junior baseball base-ball team were given an opportunity to show their mettle last week. A strong team is--expected, with many worthy substitutes. Owing to the dampness of the large diamond, the candidates for the vacant positions on .the senior team have not been given a trial as yet. |
