There passed away recently a notable nota-ble personality in Mrs. Margaret Hea.ly, of Tullyreagh, Brokeborough, County Fermanagh, at the age of !5 years. All the years of her life were spent in the district and she had only been once as far as Enniskillen. where her daughter, Mrs. Gildea, lives. She had sixty-one grandchildren and thirty-sevent thirty-sevent great-grandchildren, and her remains re-mains were followed to the graveside by eight grandsons last week. She remembered remem-bered the famine of 1S46-47, and had four of her children at the time, and could relate some sad incidents of pocrty and starvation which came under her own observation. Kerry. Bernard Kelly, an old age pensioner, aged 74 years, met with a shocking death on the Great Northern railway on Friday evening, April 30, near Clones. He was on his way to Cavan after drawing his weekly pension, and while taking a short cut along the railway line was overtaken by an evening train and cut to pieces. Koscommon. Married. Catherine, a lay sister in the Presentation convent, Baltinglass, died suddenly April 27. Sister Catherine, Cather-ine, after returning from 7 o'clock mass, at which she had received holy communion com-munion along with the other sisters of the community, took breakfast as usual, and afterward went for a walk in the convent garden. She had only been there a short time, however, when she took suddenly ill. Some of the other sisters and an employe who was at work in the garden, noticing her collapse, col-lapse, at once went to her assistance, and the Rev. Father O'Neill, P. P., who was immediately summoned, administered adminis-tered the last sacraments, but. after a very brief time it was found that life was extinct. Sister Catherine, who was daughter of the late D. Heydon, Rath-moon, Rath-moon, was about 69 years old, and joined the Presentation order some thirty-five years ago. Westmeath. Died. April 12, Mathew Gillivan, Dernagara.
