Show CATHEDRAL NOTES. Mrs. D. H. 'Bero and Mrs. J. J. Harvey Har-vey will attend to the altars this week. The promoters of the Sacred Heart league met last Sunday afternoon. Friday was communion day for ihe members of the Sacred Heart league. $ Benediction of the blessed sacrament is given every Wednesday evening at 7:30, and stations of the cross are said every Friday evening at the same hour. The daily mass is celebrated at 8 o'clock. The members of the Sodality of the Children of Mary will receive holy communion at the 9 o'clock mass on Sunday. The regular monthly meeting will be held at St. Mary's academy 111 the afternoon at 2 o'clock. $ The programme and the stage management man-agement of the St. Patrick's concert is in charge of Miss Nora Gleason. Several Sev-eral of Landrum's professional tupils will assist the St. Mary's children. The children who will appear in the St. Patrick's eve concert on March 16 are expected to attend the rehearsal on Saturday at 3 o'clock sharp at the episcopal residence. All the young ladies la-dies taking part in the programme must attend this rehearsal also ar 4 o'clock. Every one must positively bring a flag to the Saturday rehearsal. Pome of the mothers 'do not quite understand un-derstand how the children are to d.tsr.. A uniform dress is to be worn by all the children. The material is to bo ordinary white cheese cloth made with yoke, and a wide hem on skirt. The iength of the little girls' dresses is the same as their school dresses, but the older girls will have their gowns entirely en-tirely long and with a sash of the ma terial. 1 ne utile gins win require h small white cap of the regular dust-cap dust-cap style, but with long strings. The young son of Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Marnane was baptized last Sunday afternoon at St. Mary's. Miss Alice Curley and Mr. Thomas Marnane were the baby's godparents. Rev. Father Bulfamente returned from Castle Gate last Tuesday. |
