Show The Belt and It Line. Wonderful New O.rdles of Various Widths Show fc any Lengths of Waistline. The trite saying that there is nothing noth-ing new under the sun is not applicable applica-ble to fashions in pirdles, for never was there suh a variety in these accessories ac-cessories as this season. They come in all widths and for a while the proper lencth of the waistline will be a much disputed point. Of course this state of affairs has no effect upon well proportioned pro-portioned women who consider their jc-rsonal apeparance above the dictates ; cf Dame Fashion, arransins their belts : in accordance with their figures, but i T for the attenuated woman who can indulge in-dulge capricious modes there are novel and wondeiful things. j . i Jill ftp: j THE LONG BELT LINE. The waist line moved up under the arms is both new and charming. Also is it a decided change, which, in its Empire effect, gives a quaintly beautiful beauti-ful outline to tall, slender figures. This may be obtained by any .of the very high girdles; or the effect Is produced by the employment of a short bolero falling over a ions:, flowing skirt which is gathered at the'bustline. I-!ut while the short waist is pretty ind oelishtfi ! in its novelty, one has o think a while before selecting it in preference to the chic outline produced ey the narrow pointed French belt. Panne velvet of dark blue shade brms a belt of this description on a Town cf butter colored voile. The belt its the figure closely and extends down j e)ov the waistline a little way, form- j ng a pointed yoke into which the skirt (s plainted in narrow box plaits at the ! ack and sides.
