BISHOP BEONDEIS TOUR OF HIS DIOCESE GOES EAST TO PLEAD FOB THE POOR INDIAN. (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.1 Helena, Mont., Sept. 21. Bishop Brondel loft Helena on the 13th to complete com-plete his annual tour of the Diocese, preparatory to his departure for the cast. He confirmed a class at Livingston Living-ston on the 14th, where Rev. Father Tirant is pastor. Then he went to Bozeman and confirmed a class ,of twenty-five on Sunday the 10th. Then the following Thursday he administered confirmation, at Miles City and Friday at Glendive and Wilaux. The three last named places being In charge of Rev. C. Bauwelyn. Wilaux Is the last station sta-tion in Montana on the Northern Ta-cific Ta-cific road and was the last place visited visit-ed by the Bishop this year. . The Church was built by and the town named after Mr. A. Wilaux. His Lordship Lord-ship left for Fargo, North Dakota after completing the services at Wilaux, where he will be joined by Bishop Shanley and they will proceed east on a tour of lecturing and collecting in behalf be-half of the Indian Missions of the United States. Bishop Brondel was appointed ap-pointed by the Catholic Bureau of Indian In-dian Missions to visit the eclesiastical provinces of Boston, Baltimore, Philadelphia Phila-delphia and New York, One more particularly par-ticularly adapted to this work could not be chosen anywhere. His love for the neglected and poor Ignorant Inr dian with his whole-hearted sympathy make him a fit representative to display dis-play fully the urgent necessity of means with which to civilize, educate and enlighten and help support the Catholic Indian Missions. A faithful and devoted congregation wish their kind and solicituous shepherd much succors in his undertaking; they will even bear him in mind during his necessary absence and their constant prayers will be for his safe and speedy return to them, when the work he has so gladly and with much devotion undertaken un-dertaken will be gloriously completed. He will not spare his labors in the field he has been assigned and the poor outcast out-cast red man will unite his prayers with the rest of his flock and in the time to come a grand reward will await |
