Show . i 1 I PARK CITY. i Park lodge No. 1129, Knights of Columbus, Co-lumbus, held their annual installation of officers Monday night at the Masonic Ma-sonic hall. The attendance was large, there being two-thirds of the entire membership of the order present The lodge is in a very flourishing condition, and the installation ceremonies were conducted by Past Grand Knight John Fallon. After the newly-installed officers offi-cers had taken their chairs. Grand Knight Welsh surprised Mr. Fallon by presenting him with a K. of C. emblem em-blem ring. Mr. Fallon expressed his appreciation of the gift in a few well chosen remarks, which were heartily enjoyed by the members present. Re-I freshments were served. Mrs. John Welsh entertained the afternoon aft-ernoon sewing club) most delightfully at her home Wednesday of last week. Dainty refreshments were served and a royal time was had by all present. Those of the party were Mrs. J. C. O'Hara, Mrs. F. McEwan, Mrs. V. I Youngberg, Mrs. O. C. Lockhart, Mrs. Ed Hurlbut,- Mrs. C. W. Street, Mrs. J. R. McCieery. Mrs. L. Garvin.' Miss Mae Baillee. Hugh McCieery, Elwood Garvin and Thomas Welsh. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. O'Hara. Thomas Waldon of Ye'ri'ngton entertained enter-tained the following friends At the dancing party Saturday evening, followed fol-lowed by a luncheon, which all enjoyed en-joyed to the utmost. His guests included in-cluded Mr. and Mrs. J. -w. Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Daly, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Gallivan. Mr. and Mrs. John Welsh, Mr. and Mrs. P. Tallon, Miss Mae Baillee, Miss Agnes Harrington, Miss Mary Leahy, Miss' Katherine Lawrence, Dr. W. J. Bradsley, Frank Keith, Andy Hurley, p. Hurley, John Buck and Mrs. Ed Walsh. Charles Shields is confined to his home with a severe cold. A. N. Nice is also quite ill with an attack of pleurisy. John J. Fitzgerald, city treasurer was confined to his bed the fore part of last week with an attack of la grippe. Word received from Butte last week is to rhe effect that P. F. Tallon and Gerald Durkin, two well-known Park boys, art prospering in that great copper cop-per camp. Mrs. Henry DeHuff, aged 65 years, died Sunday morning aj her home on lower Park avenue, general debility resulting re-sulting from old age being the cause of demise Deceased had been in this city for thirty years, many years of which she had been an invalid and confined to her home. Rev. Father Galligan took charge of the funeral, whicli was held from. St. Mary's church Tuesday. afternoon. after-noon. The members of the Sewing club were entertained Wednesday afternoon by Mrs. Jack Welsh. Mr. and Mrs. Towey and Miss Katherine Kath-erine Towey went to Salt Lake Wednesday Wednes-day of last week. John Kelly and John Boyle returned to Salt Lake Sunday afternoon, where they are attending the All Hallows college. Mrs. Kate Carpenter is visiting here, the guest of Mrs. J. C. O'Hara. |
