Show RENO, NEV. j A sermon preached by Father Tubman Tub-man of Rena. Nev., on Sunday, Jan. 19, against race suicide, affinities and other outgrowths of modern marriages and divorces has drawn out a letter of commendation from President Roosevelt. Roose-velt. vThe president wrote Father Tubman Tub-man that he believed these evils deserve de-serve more castigation than they receive re-ceive from the clergy. J. T. Keating is spending a few weeks on his ranch at Rockford, superintending su-perintending the new work which has been begun the first of the year. The auxiliary of the A. O. H. gave a valentine party on last Thursday evening at Apollo hall for the social' amusement of their brother members and their sweethearts, and. of course, wives, husbands and mother-in-laws included. Every one reports a most enjoyable evening, and the ladies in charge showed themselves to be royal entertainers. The young ladies of St. Aloysisus sodality so-dality gave a 500 party last Thursday evening at Gonzaga college. All during dur-ing the evening the college band ren-reded ren-reded some excellent selections, which were appreciated by all. |
