Queen's Daughters' Choir. I Rehearsals of the Queen's Daughters' choir have been resumed. Mrs. John J. O'Xeil will continue as organist, the ; protest of the singers winning her con sent. Until two weeks ago Mrs. O'Xeil ' -was Miss Adelaide Brophy. Mrs. Mar- caret Hayden will not be able to continue con-tinue as director on account of the f press of other duties, but Miss Mary ? Mulrooney, the brilliant soprano solo ist, will take her place. The choir will continue to sing at the 9:30 mass in Logan avenue chapel. j Altar and Rosary Society. i The annual election of officers for the 'Altar and Rosary society of the cathe- I dial was held in Logan avenue chapel j on Sunday, Oct. 7. and resulted in the following lucky choice: For president, Mrs. George T. Koarns; vice president. Mrs. Charles M. McCabo: secretary. Miss Frenzoll; treasurer. Mrs. John E. O'Brien. The retiring officers were recipients re-cipients of congratulations from the members on the efficient manner in v hich thi y have conducted affairs of the society for the past year. Annunciation Church Fair. A very active interest is being taken in the preparations for a fair to be given the latter part of October to raise ' money for the furnishings of the new Annunciation church. This church, Mhen completed, will be one of the finest fin-est in the state. Sacred Heart College. Scores of relatives and friends of the students of the College of the Sacred Heart went out last Sunday to the college col-lege grounds to watch the football game played between the squad from Arvada and the college boys. It was an enthusiastic enthu-siastic game, and the teams were well matched. The field was in especially frood condition. The Coming Fair. Mrs. F. Weisenhorn, 2246 Emerson street, plans for the coming fair were discussed and everything looks very favorable. The fair will be held at Da Pron hall, Broadway and Second avenue, on Oct. 37, 18 and 19. The orphanage is sadly In need of funds, and as this is the first time the sisters have made an appeal to the public. It is hoped it will meet with a ready response. The Queen's Daughters Daugh-ters are earnestly co-operating with the members of St. Clara's Aid society in plans for the coming bazar. Sacred Heart Aid Society. The Sacred Heart Ladies' Aid society will give a card party at Elks' hall on Wednesday evening, Oct. SI, for the purpose of raising funds to carry on its gTeai work of charity during the winter. win-ter. Mrs. W. O. Grainger has charge of the distribution of tickets, and is laboring labor-ing indefatigably to give them a wide 1 circulation. Six beautiful prizes will he given and will be well worth working work-ing for. , Church Motes. I Flood, I'OO West Second avenue. ISt. Clara's Aid society held an important im-portant meeting on Monday, Oct. 8. at the home of Mrs. F. Weisenhorn, 2246 Emerson street. Personal. Mrs. John Wafer of Humboldt street underwent a serious operation at St. Joseph's hospital last Monday, and is recovering very nicely. Her mother. Mrs. Haines, came from her home in Illinois to be with her. and will remain until Mrs. Wafer is entirely well. Mrs. Gerapach continues very ill. and prave fears are entertained for her recovery. re-covery. Mrs. Margaret Hayden. formerly director di-rector of the Queen's Daughters' choir, is teaching in the Byers school this year. Miss Margaret Goodwin entertained delightfully at luncheon on Tuesday.
