Show I PARK CITY. (Special Correspondence.) The annual meeting of the State Council of Utah, Knights of Columbus, was held at Park C.ty on May 12-13. Many matters of importance were discussed dis-cussed and, acted upon, which will enlarge en-large the usefulness of the order throughout Utah. Those present were State Deputy James W. Killeen of Salt Lake. State Secretary S. Abbot Ma-ginnis Ma-ginnis of Ogden, State Advocate James Stach of Eureka, State Treasurer John Welsh and State Warden P. H. Tallon of Park City, and the following i delegates: dele-gates: Edward McGurrin ''and T. J. O'Brien, representing Salt Lake City; Dr. F. E. Roche and C. A. Maguire, representing Ogden; J. J. and Timothy Sullivan, representing Eureka, and XI. J. Dailey and F. J. McLaughlin, rep resenting Park City. Thomas J. O'Brien was elected state deputy for the coming year, his ap-1 ponents being George Jay Gibson and j John F. Welsh. The contest between Mr. O'Brien and Mr. Welsh was quite spirited, although in the best of feeling, and resulted finally in Mr. O'Brien's election. The ottlier officers were: M. J. Dailey of Park City, state treasurer; John F. Stack of Eureka, state advocate: S. Abbott Maginnls of Ogden. state secretary, sec-retary, and P. II. Tallon of Park City, state warden. The delegates were royally entertained entertain-ed by the Park City Knights and are loud in their praises of the hospitality hown them. |
