'Hie emperor em-peror has received the following dispatch dis-patch from General Stoessel, commander comman-der of the Kussian military forces at Port Arthur, dated Aug. 28: -I am happy to report to your majesty majes-ty that at 3 o'clock in the morning of. Aug. -7, during , a violent rain and thunderstorm, the Japanese again attempted at-tempted to capture our left Hunk positions posi-tions near No. 1 fort and Udan mountain. moun-tain. Their attack was everywhere repulsed. re-pulsed. Our losses were small three men killed and two officers and ninety-eight ninety-eight men wounded. The wounded were brought in and are being carefully tended.
