Show I BUTTE, MONT. j i , - An Interesting social session of the Gaelic league has held Friday night at which the Rev. Father Hannan delivered deliv-ered a most interesting address on Irish affairs, and he was followed by M. O'Donoghue, whor recently arrived in the city from San Francisco, and James P. Moriarlty of this city. Arrangements Ar-rangements were announced as completed com-pleted to have the Rev. Father O Kennedy Ken-nedy deliver a sermon in the Gaelic language at' St. Mary's church on Sunday Sun-day evening at 7 o'clock. This will be the first sermon ever delivered in the Gaelic language in the west. Rev. Father Kealy of St. Patrick s church will leave shortly for Fust Sound and other coast points on a vacation. va-cation. E. P. Mallin and wife returned Monday Mon-day from California, where Mr. Mallin was forced to go for the. benefit of. his health. Two fine girl babies were born at the Xevin house on Summit street Monday Mon-day afternoon to Mr. and Mrs. John Donnelly. Both mother and children ire reported to be doing well. Mr. and Mrs. Donnelly have one other child, a son aged 2 years. Mr. Donnelly is a ! machinist at the Mountain Consolidated Consolidat-ed mine. Information ot the death of Patrick O'Brien, formerly a well-known Butte -esident, has been received in this city. Mr. O'Brien was killed in Cran-brook, Cran-brook, B. d March 1, by a mine explosion. ex-plosion. He leaves three brothers and one sister, besides a great number of friends. Mr. O'Brien was 31 years old,; and was unmarried. The funeral was held at Cranbroook. A brother of rat-rick rat-rick and a cousin. Patrick O'Riien, were in British Columblt at the time of the accident. They will remain ihore for a short time. |
